Support for Volunteers: Peer Support
Create a Volunteer Role (or Activity) for the computer proficient volunteers to sign up to orient and train other volunteers to MyVolunteerPage.com.
Create a Category
- Go to: Activities >> Manage Activities
- Click the [+] button in the “Activities” header and click on “New Category” (or click the [+ New Category] button at the bottom of the page)
- Enter an Activity Category name – “MyVolunteerPage.com Training”
- Optional: Enter a Description
- Click the [Save] button
Create a Trainer Volunteer Role (for volunteers to sign up to deliver the training)
- Go to: Activities >> Manage Activities
- Click the [+] button in the “Activities” header (above the list of activities) and click on “New Activity”
- Enter the Activity or Position name – “MyVolunteerPage.com Trainer” (maximum 50 characters)
- Select the options for Category, Application Form, Active Status, Hours Logging and Group Sign up. (Activity Report Group will also be available for members with an Enterprise Account).
- Enter a Description that will include information about the activity to be seen by those applying (Pre-assigned); those assigned or scheduled (Post-assigned) and administrators only (Internal)
- Click the [Next] button to choose your schedule options

- Go to: Activities >> Manage Activities
- Click the [+] button in the “Activities” header (above the list of activities) and click on “New Activity”
- Enter the Activity or Position name – “MyVolunteerPage.com Trainee”
- Select the options for Category, Application Form, Active Status, Hours Logging and Group Sign up. (Activity Report Group will also be available for members with an Enterprise Account).
- Enter a Description that will include information about the activity to be seen by those applying (Pre-assigned); those assigned or scheduled (Post-assigned) and administrators only (Internal)
- Click the [Next] button to choose your schedule options
