Qualifications - View / Edit / Move / Delete

View

[alert heading=”NOTE:” type=”alert-info” block=”false” close=”false”]You can filter the list of Qualifications by Type, Permissions, Expires and Applications. If you change the display order of a Qualification when filters are set (filters that may hide some Qualifications), it will be placed below any hidden Qualifications in that new location (if moving it upwards) or above any hidden Qualifications in that new location (if moving it downwards).[/alert]

  1. Go to: Configuration >> Qualifications
  2. Hover over the options icon beside the Qualification
  3. Click on “View”
  4. Click the [Close] button

Displays On

When viewing your Qualifications, you’ll see a variety of abbreviations in the “Displays On” column:

  • M: MyVolunteerPage.com (i.e. when a volunteer is editing their profile)
  • V1: Volunteer Application Form 1 (i.e. when a new applicant is filling in the Qualifications in Application Form 1)
  • V2: Volunteer Application Form 2 (i.e. when a new applicant is filling in the Qualifications in Application Form 2)
  • V3: Volunteer Application Form 3 (i.e. when a new applicant is filling in the Qualifications in Application Form 3)

If the text appears in bold, that means that a value is required under that circumstance (i.e. required on the specific application form or required in a volunteer’s profile).

You can also hover over the abbreviation to see more detail.

Edit

  1. Go to: Configuration >> Qualifications
  2. Hover over the options icon beside the Qualification
  3. Click on “Edit”
  4. Make the desired changes
  5. Optional: If you need to reorder the items in the list, click on the item and the click the green [Move Item Up] or [Move Item Down] button.
  6. Click the [Save] button

Edit the Attributes of Multiple Qualifications

  1. Go to: Configuration >> Qualifications
  2. Check the box beside each Qualification you want to change (you can also check the “Select All” box at the bottom)
  3. Select the appropriate value from the drop list:
    • Update Permissions (Private, Read Only, Read/Write without approval, Read/Write with approval)
    • Update Display and Requirement Settings (MyVolunteerPage.com, Application Forms and where a value is required)
  4. Make the desired changes
  5. Check the box to confirm your changes
  6. Click the “Update” button,  to save your changes

Add / Remove Expiry Date Requirement

Add and Expiry Date Requirement to a Qualification

  1. Go to: Configuration >> Qualifications
  2. Hover over the options icon beside the Qualification
  3. Click on “Add Expiry Date Requirement”
  4. Add the new expiry date to apply to all user who have this qualification set in their profile
  5. Confirm that you wish to make this change
  6. Click the [Add Expiry Date Requirement] button

Remove and Expiry Date Requirement from a Qualification

  1. Go to: Configuration >> Qualifications
  2. Hover over the options icon beside the Qualification
  3. Click on “Remove Expiry Date Requirement”
  4. Confirm that you wish to make this change
  5. Click the [Remove Expiry Date Requirement] button

Move (up or down on the page)

  1. Go to: Configuration >> Qualifications
  2. Hold the mouse button down over the [Move] button to the right of a Qualification to move it to a new location in the list. Release the mouse button when you have placed it in the desired location.

Delete

  1. Go to: Configuration >> Qualifications
  2. Hover over the options icon beside the Qualification
  3. Click on “Delete”

[alert heading=”NOTE:” type=”alert-error” block=”false” close=”false”]If there are profiles with data for the Qualification you’d like to delete, you’ll be told how many profiles would be affected if you choose to delete the Qualification.[/alert]

View Activities Associated With a Qualification

  1. Go to: Configuration >> Qualifications
  2. Hover over the options icon beside the Qualification
  3. Click on “View Associated Activities”
