Search - By Activity Category, Activity, Activity Shift

Search by Activity Category

  1. Go to: People >> Search (or any other menu option that uses the search feature) – Click here and scroll down for a video on all of step 1.
  2. In the “Module and Status Filters” section, select the desired statuses to include in the search. If you make multiple selections, you can include people that have:
    • Any of the selected modules and any of the selected statuses
    • All of the selected modules and any of the selected statuses
  3. In the “Communications Filters” section, optionally select the desired choice. Settings are broken down into three categories. You can make one selection from each category:
    • Email: Don’t Filter (default), Has Email, Has No Email
    • Mobile Email: Don’t Filter (default), Has Mobile Email, Has No Mobile Email
    • Text Messaging [this will only appear if Text Messaging has been enabled]: Don’t Filter (default), Has text messaging enabled, Does not have text messaging enabled
  4. In the “Group Filters” section, optionally select the desired choice: Don’t Filter (default), Individuals Only (profiles associated with one person only), Groups Only (profiles that have been defined as representing a group)
  5. Click the [Add Search Criteria] button. The available criteria corresponding to your module selections will appear first in the list, followed by other criteria. Instead of scrolling through the list, you can type a few letters of the criteria you want to use.
  6. Select Activity Category from the drop-down list.
  7. Schedule Status: Select the desired box(es) for either Signed Up (Signed Up, Not Signed Up), Assigned (Assigned, Assigned and confirmed, Assigned and unconfirmed, Not assigned) or Backup List (On the backup list, Not on the backup list).
  8. For shifts that are: For scheduled activities, select whether to consider shifts that occur “On or after today only”, “Before today only” or “Don’t Filter” (default).
  9. Activity Active Status: Select whether to consider “Only Active” activities (default), “Only Inactive” activities or “Don’t Filter”.
  10. In the selected category(ies): Select the checkbox(es) beside the desired Activity Category (or Activity Categories).
    • Click the [Add] button to add the current search criteria to the list of things to include in the list and leave the screen ready for you to add something else – No search will be run yet.
    • Click the [Add and Go] button to add the current search criteria to the list of things to include in the list and to execute a search. – A search will be run.

Search by Activity

      • All of the selected modules (Could be used to find people who are volunteers and administrators.)
    3. In the “Email Filters” section, select the desired option. The default is “Don’t Filter” on email address. This will include all people regardless of whether or not they have an email address.
    4. Click the [Add Search Criteria] button. The available criteria corresponding to your module selections will appear first in the list, followed by other criteria. Instead of scrolling through the list, you can type a few letters of the criteria you want to use.
  2. Select Activity from the drop-down list.
  3. Schedule Status: Select the desired box(es) for either Signed Up (Signed Up, Not Signed Up), Assigned (Assigned, Assigned and confirmed, Assigned and unconfirmed, Not assigned) or Backup List (On the backup list, Not on the backup list).
  4. For shifts that are: For scheduled activities, select whether to consider shifts that occur “On or after today only”, “Before today only” or “Don’t Filter” (default).
  5. For the following activities: Select whether to consider only “Active” activities (default), “Inactive” activities or “Don’t Filter”.
  6. Click the [+] button for the desired Activity Category to select one or more Activities belonging to that Category. You can select any number of Activities within any of the Categories.
    • Click the [Add] button to add the current search criteria to the list of things to include in the list and leave the screen ready for you to add something else – No search will be run.
    • Click the [Add and Go] button to add the current search criteria to the list of things to include in the list and to execute a search. – A search will be run.

Search by Activity Shift

  1. Go to: People >> Search (or any other menu option that uses the search feature) – Click here and scroll down for a video on all of step 1.
    1. In the “Module and Status Filters” section, select the desired statuses to include in the search.
    2. If you make multiple selections, you can include people that have:
      • Any of the selected modules (This is the default. Just getting started? Leave this one selected.)
      • All of the selected modules (Could be used to find people who are volunteers and administrators.)
    3. In the “Email Filters” section, select the desired option. The default is “Don’t Filter” on email address. This will include all people regardless of whether or not they have an email address.
    4. Click the [Add Search Criteria] button. The available criteria corresponding to your module selections will appear first in the list, followed by other criteria. Instead of scrolling through the list, you can type a few letters of the criteria you want to use.
  2. Select Activity Shift from the drop-down list.
  3. Schedule Status: Select the desired box(es) for either Signed Up (Signed Up, Not Signed Up) or Assigned (Assigned, Assigned and confirmed, Assigned and unconfirmed, Not assigned).
  4. Select a Shift: Select the Category from the drop down list. If there are Activities in the selected Category, the Activity drop down will display
  5. Select the Activity from the drop down. You can select whether to consider only “Active” activities (default), “Inactive” activities or “Don’t Filter”. If the selected Activity is scheduled, the Shift drop down will display.
  6. Select a single shift from the drop down list.
    • Click the [Add] button to add the current search criteria to the list of things to include in the list and leave the screen ready for you to add something else – No search will be run.
    • Click the [Add and Go] button to add the current search criteria to the list of things to include in the list and to execute a search. – A search will be run.
