Sending a Short Message to Mobile Devices

Why is this referred to as a Mobile Email Message?

Currently we make use of a way that messages can be sent without cost within the USA and Canada to a volunteer’s mobile device. Clients in other countries require the use of a third party. (Just ask us if you need help finding one.) When a volunteer fills in the field with their mobile phone number in the form of an email address, you can send the volunteer a message with up to 100 characters of text.

Send a Mobile Email Message to One Person

  1. Start to type the volunteer’s name in the Quick Search bar on the right near the top of page.
  2. Click on the volunteer from the list that appears.
  3. Click on the “Communications” tab
  4. Click on the “Send Mobile Email” tab
  5. Compose the message (maximum 100 characters)
  6. Optional: Check “Send me a copy of this message” to have a copy of the email sent to the address associated with your profile. A list of the recipients will appear at the bottom of that message. The selection you make will be remembered the next time you return to send a mobile email.
